How my blog started?
Starting my blog was like learning to write again. I had wanted to be an author since I was seven, but midway through 2015 tried to give it up – cold turkey. I didn’t write anything for a whole year but it was really hard to repress the urge. After I realised how ridiculous it was, my heart kept ignoring my head and telling me how much I wanted to be an author. Getting back into it was difficult. I started my blog to help motivate me and slowly found other emerging writers taking the plunge. It’s been a huge confidence boost and now I almost have a complete story for the first time ever! Although I am now writing consistently, I still continue with my blog because it has opened my eyes to a different style of writing I never realised I could be so passionate about!
Two pieces of advice for new bloggers?
(A lot of the generic advice people give is really good, hence it being passed around a lot, so I’m going to try and give advice I don’t see as much :P)
I think it’s important to treat your blog as what you want it to be and avoid pressure from comparable blogs. If you want your blog to be a business, then treat it like a business. There’s nothing wrong with that. But if you want your blog to be a hobby, then don’t stress over statistics in the same way – focus on having fun.
Also, don’t be half-hearted about posting: whether it’s just one picture or a 1,000 word essay, make it something you want –ย need – to post. Never save the best until last. Always put the effort in. No matter how perfect a roof is, it won’t balance on uneven bricks. (Plus you can always re-blog, or refer back to any posts you didn’t feel had enough recognition at the time!)
I hope you enjoyed reading my answers to this award. Now to tag some people I want to answer these next:

Make sure you check out all the fabulous blogs mentioned, and I shall talk to you soon.
